- Perform diagnosis and procedural coding for all DCT services and programs for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing.
- Provide training and education to Medical Staff and other appropriate staff to ensure appropriate documentation and accurate coding.
- Participate in the department’s compliance program regarding appropriate documentation and accurate coding for DCT programs and services.
- Conduct regular audits and coordinate ongoing monitoring of coding accuracy and documentation adequacy.
This position will require full-time on-site work until after probation (typically 6 months). This team is currently working a hybrid schedule, with 3 days per week on-site at Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center, 2 days per week telework. Telework is available on a limited basis.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience translating, evaluating, and presenting data in a clear and concise manner
- Experience working with various software including Electronic Health Record Systems and MS Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate and present data to other professionals, including physicians, in a clear concise manner
- Knowledge and experience with quality improvement or patient safety
- Recent ICD 10-CM coding education or experience
- CPT coding experience in an outpatient setting
- Ability to evaluate and present data to other professionals, including physicians, in a clear concise manner
- Commitment to cultural responsiveness and experience working with diverse backgrounds
