Resident Assistant – Full Time Days – The Plaza
Join us as a Resident Assistant s full‑time position at The Plaza requires 64 hours per pay period with a schedule of 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity, joy, and companionship.
We offer competitive pay from $17.40 /hr to $23.65 /hr, based on experience, qualifications, and location, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health coverage, wellness programs, and opportunities for professional growth.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with meals, restorative care, and life skills while respecting their preferences.
- Encourage residents to engage in social, recreational, and wellness activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain cleanliness and comfort through housekeeping, laundry, and organization of resident spaces.
- Prepare, store, and serve meals, beverages, and snacks, promoting a positive dining experience.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health or emotional well‑being to nursing staff.
- Welcome new residents and help them transition smoothly into their new home.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and ensure exceptional care.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Clear and compassionate communication abilities.
- A commitment to serving with excellence and integrity.
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and interpersonal effectiveness.
- State certification (Minnesota or Wisconsin CNA) is preferred and may be required for certain assisted‑living levels.
- Ability to pass a state‑required background study.
Physical ability to perform the duties required by the position. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
