Job Description
Looking for a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) Engineer to add to a co‑op in the Minnesota market. This individual will be working to maximize power supply saving for customers. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing and operating distributed energy assets, and will be required to lead project management of new DERs. They will coordinate and collaborate with different leadership and departments within the company, monitor utility DERs—including solar, storage, and diesel generators—for availability and performance, flag operational issues, communicate internally and coordinate with asset owners and operators to resolve them, and provide technical advising on residential, commercial, and utility‑scale DERs and other load‑management programs to the Power Supply and Business Development team and other departments.
In addition, the engineer will advise the Technical Support Team (TST) for Power Supply Operations (PSO), supporting pre‑event activities, event monitoring and operations, and post‑event analysis; participate in the TST on‑call rotation, which may require work outside of normal business hours; provide tours and oversee access to utility DERs (solar and storage sites) coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed.

Skills & Qualifications
Experience with DER engineering – looking for someone with 4–5 years of experience, open to relocating to MN. Small company but with great products and a strong power storage portfolio.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Ramsey, MN.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $98,000.00 – $ per year.
