Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with harness designers and engineers to build and install wire harnesses on prototype systems. You will assist engineers with assembling and testing prototype electrical subsystems, as well as performing hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems. Your support will be crucial in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of electrical assemblies, as well as in maintaining the organization of our electrical lab area.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with harness designers and engineers to build and install wire harnesses on prototype systems.
- Assist engineers in assembling and testing prototype electrical subsystems.
- Perform hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Support engineering team members with diagnostics and repairs of electrical assemblies.
- Maintain and organize the electrical lab area.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Experience with electromechanical systems, soldering, and wire harnesses.
- Proficiency in using test equipment and prototyping.
- Ability to perform electrical assembly and read blueprints and schematics.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electronics.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other standard lab equipment.
- Experience with soldering and crimping.
- Understanding of electrical theory, circuit design, and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The work environment is a laboratory setting where you will work with advanced test equipment and collaborate with a team of engineers. Expect a hands‑on role that requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. The dress code is casual, suitable for a lab environment.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
