Finish Painter - 1st Shift

The Finish Painter is responsible for the proper application of paint. Ensures the highest quality product and meets customer specifications.

• Follows and complies with all safety, work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
• Refers issues/problems to Team Lead, Supervisor or Manager for disposition.
• Will ensure parts are prepared for paint application, including sanding, cleaning and taping.
• Make minor cosmetic repairs to parts.
• Mix paint according to customer specifications.
• Verify finished paint matches paint chip.
• Operate paint booth control systems including oven.
• Ensure spray guns are properly maintained.
• Keep floor paper and booth filters cleaned as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Excellent attendance.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and material identifications.
• Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations.
• Must be able to be medically cleared for respirator use.
