Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend schedule

• Option for 4x12 shift schedule

• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatric patients

• Float to like units as needed

• Possible charge nurse responsibilities as needed

• 30-bed medical surgical unit with 30-minute lunch break required

• 1 year of nursing experience required

• Alabama nursing license required

• Current BLS certification via AHA required

• Fit test required for proper PPE fitting

• NIHSS certification preferred

• Level II trauma experience preferred

• Travel nursing experience preferred

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Skills include: IV starts and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, wound care and wound vac management, colostomy care, feeding tube care, blood product administration, peripheral and PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drain care, oxygen administration

• Care for regular medical surgical patients

• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed

• Must adhere to call-in policy with no skipped meals
