Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with option for 4x12s schedule

• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement

• Float to like units as needed

• Possible charge nurse responsibilities when needed

• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends

• 30-bed unit caring for adults and geriatrics

• 30-minute lunch break required with no skipped meals policy

• Must adhere to call-in policy

• Alabama nursing license required

• Current BLS via AHA and Fit Test required

• NIHSS preferred

• 1 year of nursing experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Level II trauma experience preferred

• Travel experience preferred

Skills required:

IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin administration, insulin administration, PCA management, surgical drains, oxygen administration

• Charting system experience required

• One pre-approved time off allowed (maximum 7 days)

• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed

• Will not accommodate other per diem schedules or contracts
