Job Details:

• Work night shifts with every other weekend requirement

• Option for 4x12 hour shifts available

• Float to like units as needed

• Possible charge nurse responsibilities when needed

• Patient ratio of 1:6 for adults and geriatrics population

• 30-bed medical surgical unit treating regular medical surgical patients

• Required to take 30-minute lunch break with no skipped meals policy

• Must adhere to call-in policy and facility attendance requirements

• Skills include IV starts, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac management

• Experience with colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration required

• Must be competent in peripheral line care, PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration

• PCA pump management and surgical drain care required

• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration experience needed

• 1+ years of experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Level II trauma experience preferred

• Travel experience preferred

• Alabama nursing license required

• Current BLS via AHA certification required

• Fit test completion mandatory

• NIHSS certification preferred

• Schedules cannot be adjusted once contract is confirmed

• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
