Life Enrichment Assistant - NHC Health Care Anniston
Adams Place is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant. The applicant must have a desire to work with seniors, be compassionate, caring and creative. The ideal candidate must be energetic, highly organized and have knowledge of the domains of wellness as it relates to programming in long‑term care. Your goal will be to provide daily meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a well‑rounded activities program for patients, including evenings and weekends, celebrating holidays and major events
- Complete assessments, care plans and associated paperwork in a timely manner
- Supervise activities assistants, including training, scheduling, and evaluation
- Recruit center volunteers, providing training, scheduling and recognition
- Ensure all local, state and federal guidelines regarding programming are met
- Partner with other departments to support community marketing efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Strong communication and time‑management abilities
- Team player who collaborates across departments to build staff morale
- Basic typing and computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Publisher for producing monthly calendars, newsletters and other marketing materials
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university OR
- Satisfactory completion of two years of college OR
- Two years of experience in long‑term care related to activities and memory care
