Position SummaryThe Lead-Pickleball is responsible for providing overall management and leadership for club pickleball programming, including open play, clinics, mixers, leagues, tournaments and events. The role promotes pickleball offerings through member engagement and handles administrative tasks related to programming, such as scheduling, billing, and communication. The Lead collaborates with the Corporate Racquet Sports leaders on strategic changes to the program and broader marketing efforts.
The Leader also teaches revenue-generating on‑court programs.
- Develop, sell and teach safe, professional and exciting revenue-generating on‑court programs.
- Interact with members through non-revenue producing activity and off‑court program promotion (e.g. Open Play and Intro to Pickleball, information tables, coordinating marketing materials, member communication, etc.).
- Provide administrative oversight of the club’s pickleball programming, including managing scheduling of programs and completing billing.
- Supervise club pickleball staff, including scouting, interviewing new staff, ensuring completion of training and onboarding.
- Thorough knowledge of the game of pickleball.
- Experience teaching pickleball.
- Pickleball teaching certification required within six months of hire.
- Excellent customer service skills, friendly, outgoing and positive attitude.
- Experience planning and executing events.
- Comfortable working with all age groups and building positive relationships with members and team members.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, time‑management and organization skills.
- CPR and AED certified.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.
- International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) and/or Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) and/or United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
- Experience with Life Time’s internal scheduling software.
This hourly position pays $25 per hour for all hours worked, with an additional service incentive of 40% of personal on‑court revenue generated. The position is also eligible for an incentive based on the Pickleball department’s performance.
