Position: SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will provide multi-disciplinary security support, through multiple security programs, such as:
Information Security, Personnel Security, Industrial Security, and Security Education Training and Awareness.
* You will review data for determining status of security clearances.
* You will assist in the preparation of supplemental data to ensure clarity and accuracy in program management and reporting.
* You will assist with or conduct surveys, inspections, reviews, and risk assessments in accordance with regulations and program security guidance.
* You will review program guidance to ensure proper application of security classification markings and caveats. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed time frames. Certification required: SFPC Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Assists in the management and administration of the command Security Program;
2) Conducts investigations of security violations and prepares necessary reports;
3) Prepares and submits building access requests, System Authorization Access Requests (SAAR), security termination documents and other actions regarding security customer service issues; and
4) Identifies security problems, analyzing alternatives and recommending solutions.
