Overview

The Outside Sales Consultant for the Annapolis, MD area, drives revenue growth by building strategic relationships and securing high-volume household goods clients. This role positions JK Moving as a premium provider through value-driven solutions that align with enterprise goals and core values, ensuring price competition in favor of service excellence and brand trust. The Outside Sales Consultant also delivers market intelligence and insights to support leadership in decision-making, innovation, and responsiveness to emerging trends.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new residential business opportunities aligned with JK’s growth strategy.
  • Conduct prospect need assessments and deliver tailored presentations and proposals.
  • Lead negotiations and close contracts, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Represent JK at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate records and prospect activity in the CRM system.
  • Leverage referrals, social selling, and digital outreach strategies to expand client base and increase brand visibility within the residential moving market.
Strategic & Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with marketing and leadership teams to support campaign development and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional customer experience.
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market feedback to inform pricing, positioning, and service design.
  • Attend internal meetings and trainings to align with company strategy and continuously improve skills.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven sales or business development experience, preferably in transportation, relocation, logistics, or real estate.
  • Strong customer-focused attitude with a positive mindset, service-oriented approach, and a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong drive for personal and professional growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Consultative mindset and strong interpersonal skills to identify and address client needs effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
