About The Position

As Assistant Bakery Manager you will assist the Bakery Manager in managing inventory, pricing integrity, training, and operational processes that require attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. The role focuses on efficiency, effectiveness, and passion for excellence to drive results while curating an impeccable experience for guests and team members.

Pay range: $19.68 - $24.60 per hour.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate the ordering of bakery items with the Bakery Manager.
• Greet guests, proactively assist them, provide accurate and timely information, and make recommendations.
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, reduce shrink/damage.
Receive and stock goods following rotation standards when replenishing product levels.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on‑the‑job and via The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe, secure manner.

Availability

The position requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Experience in bakery, restaurant management, culinary, or grocery.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
