Food Service Attendant – Day Shift (LH Anne Arundel Med Ctr – Food and Nutrition)

Full‑time day‑shift position at Luminis Health in Upper Marlboro, MD. The Food Service Attendant supports the Food and Nutrition Services matrícula by carrying out duties in the cafeteria, sanitation, food production, diet office,/company catering, coffee shop, and tray assembly/passing.

• Service guests from the steam table and grill/deli lines, ensuring proper portion sizes and customer service.

• Restock and prepare the cafeteria for each meal, perform cashier duties, and manage settlement and deposit paperwork.

• Prepare cold food items, salad bars, desserts, and catering orders, following safety and rotational procedures.

• Assemble and deliver patient trays in accordance with dietary guidelines and therapeutic restrictions.

• Maintain cleanliness: clear trays, dishes, and food areas; run the dish machine; sanitize tables and surfaces; manage trash and chemical storage.

• Operate kitchen equipment, the Spectralink/Zebra phone, and iPad; respond to nursing and patient requests; transport carts safely.
