Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate Veterinarian to diagnose and treat our clients’ animals. Surgical capability is preferred;
Dr. Hamilton can work with you to develop your surgical skills. Our clients are highly receptive to recommended treatments, making your work easier. The position offers a 36 to 40-hour work week, with potential earnings over $200,000. Our support staff is excellent, and we offer flexible scheduling based on your preferences. Compensation and bonuses will be discussed at the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine examinations
  • Diagnose illnesses and recommend treatments
  • Administer vaccinations
  • Prescribe medication
  • Advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and overall pet well-being
  • Update client records
  • Preferred:
    Perform surgeries including dental, spay, and neuter

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree
  • Previous veterinary work experience
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical concepts simply
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Availability for evening or weekend shifts when necessary
  • Patience and a love for animals

Equipment

  • Digital radiography, including dental radiographs
  • PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and Stem Cells
  • Digitherm
  • Lameness scale for limb assessment
  • Ultrasound
  • Cutting laser and Cold Laser (2 in practice)
  • Rigid endoscopy
  • Full in-house laboratory
