Maintenance Technician Parish

Position: Maintenance Technician for Parish
St. Mary's Annapolis is seeking a Maintenance Worker who will be responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and repair of the Parish, school facilities and grounds. Performs a variety of routine maintenance and minor repairs including carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks. This is a 40 hour/week position. Some overtime might be required and ability to be on-call for emergencies outside of normal work hours as determined by supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and repair of facilities as directed by supervisor.
• Perform a variety of repairs and maintenance including painting, carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical work, furniture assembly or removal and equipment upkeep/repair.
• Perform general custodial duties including trash removal from grounds and buildings, cleaning up spills, buffing floors, unloading supplies.
• Maintain campus grounds by cutting grass, weeding, removing leaves, clearing sidewalks, snow and ice removal.
• Perform a variety of cleaning and system maintenance and repair duties (replace filters, clean air ducts, mopping floors, cleaning carpets)
• Set up tables, chairs and other physical items for events and break down the same items at conclusion of function

Position Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license with no more than 3 current points.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in maintenance, grounds maintenance and janitorial care required.
• Ability to lift in excess of sixty pounds independently is required. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend and operate large equipment for extended periods of time is required. Ascend and descend ladders as needed.
• Ability to complete all necessary paperwork.

Pay Rate: $19.00, Hourly

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
