Job Title:
Network Security Engineer - F2F interview

Responsibilities:

• Identify organizational requirements and design secure network solutions
• Engineer, install, troubleshoot, and implement data security networks
• Assess, design, and deploy secure networking environments
• Develop and maintain technical design and implementation documentation
• Support capacity planning, monitoring, and maintenance of secure networks
• Lead or assist migrations from legacy systems to next-generation security platforms
• Support threat remediation and troubleshooting of network security products
• Implement configuration standards, change management, and operating procedures
• Coordinate team activities to resolve end-user issues efficiently
• Produce weekly project status reports and track milestones
• Lead and host regular team status meetings and calls

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications (Required / Preferred):

• Active certifications:
• Palo Alto PCNSA or Network Security Professional
• Cisco CCNA Enterprise or CCNA Security
• Preferred:
• Associate degree in IT-related field
• Advanced Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE / Next-Gen Firewall Engineer / Network Security Analyst)
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
• Up to 10 years of CONUS IT networking and network security experience (preferred)

Technical Experience &

Skills:

• 5+ years with Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, content filtering, DLP, and TLS/SSL inspection
• 4+ years in Cisco switching, routing, and wireless networking
• 3+ years with reverse proxies and load balancing (A10 Networks)
• 2+ years with network access control (Cisco ISE, RADIUS, ACLs)

General Technical Knowledge:

• Cloud-based networking and security
• Routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
• PKI and certificate management
• Vulnerability management tools (Nessus, NMAP, Windows/Unix/Linux)
• Packet analysis tools (Wireshark, Riverbed, Opnet)
• Network management platforms (Panorama, Solar Winds)
• Enterprise server and desktop operating systems

Professional Capabilities:

• Independent troubleshooting and mentoring junior staff
• Strong verbal and presentation skills
• Technical documentation and diagram creation
