Position: ServiceNow Developer/Administrator ID# 18055162 with Security Clearance
Job Summary:

A Service Now Developer and Administrator job in Annapolis, MD (21401) is currently available through Belcan at one of our key state level government clients.

Job Duties:

Service Now Discovery Management
* Configure, schedule, and manage Service Now Discovery jobs to accurately identify, classify, and update infrastructure assets.
* Troubleshoot Discovery failures and performance issues, including credential validation, probe/sensor behavior, and MID Server connectivity.
* Partner with network teams to analyze IP ranges, subnets, firewall rules, routing, and discovery coverage gaps.
* Monitor and optimize Discovery schedules for reliable and consistent data collection.
* Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to validate discovered data. CMDB Configuration & Governance
* Configure and manage CMDB structures, CI classes, attributes, relationships, and reconciliation rules.
* Ensure proper CI classification, normalization, and lifecycle mapping.
* Implement CMDB governance and data quality standards.
* Maintain ITAM and CMDB alignment across hardware lifecycle. Asset Management (Hardware)
* Manage records in CMDB Hardware and ALM Hardware tables.
* Perform data cleanup for missing, duplicate, or inaccurate hardware records.
* Resolve asset tag discrepancies and lifecycle mismatches.
* Align CI and asset records for accuracy and compliance. Service Now Platform Development & Scripting
* Configure forms, related lists, UI Policies, and Client Scripts.
* Develop and optimize Glide Record queries for data validation and automation.
* Build and manage Flow Designer flows.
* Create Scheduled Jobs for cleanup, reconciliation, and validation.
* Perform light Service Portal configuration work. Integrations & Enhancements
* Support upcoming integrations with PDQ, Solar Winds, and other monitoring/endpoint tools.
* Participate in integration design, mapping, testing, and data validation. Data Migration & Data Quality
* Execute data migration analysis, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation.
* Perform pre- and post-migration quality reviews for accuracy and completeness.
* Validate records following script execution. Reporting & Communication
* Create dashboards to track Discovery coverage, CMDB health, normalization, and remediation.
* Export data for audits and stakeholder reporting.
* Communicate findings, risks, and remediation actions clearly to business and technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

* Expertise with Service Now Discovery and MID Server troubleshooting.
* Ability to work with network teams on IP ranges, subnets, routing, and scan issues.
* Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, reconciliation, normalization, and relationship mapping.
* Hands-on experience with hardware asset management in CMDB and ALM tables.
* Strong scripting experience with Glide Record, Flow Designer, and platform configuration.
* Knowledge of upcoming integrations such as PDQ and Solar Winds.
* Experience with data migration, mapping, transformation, and validation.
* Strong communication skills for technical and business audiences. Preferred

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a hourly range $62-$67/hr belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
