Overview
Description: Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Responsibilities- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution; communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
- Support the dispatch system and hardware problems; remain involved in the resolution process.
- Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; install/load OS software; troubleshoot; maintain integrity; configure network components; implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Provide Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution as needed.
- Experience with container technology: administering large software deployments on LINUX/UNIX, administering clustered storage solutions (e.g., Ceph), Kubernetes orchestrated containers, system configuration management software (Puppet, Ansible), and change control.
- Ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Salary Range
: $118k-$229k (Annually). The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
