Cloud Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our high-impact Cyber Mission team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

In this role, you’ll help build and enhance innovative products that transform manual processes into powerful automated solutions—freeing mission customers to focus on their most critical and complex challenges. As part of a collaborative, forward‑leaning team, you’ll work within an Agile environment and leverage Dev Ops practices to deliver high‑quality, reliable software that directly supports essential national security missions. This position is based at a contractor facility and offers flexible scheduling options
. Telework opportunities may also be available depending on task requirements and customer approval, giving you greater balance and control over your workday.

• Active TS/SCI with current polygraph (required).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (Math, IS, Engineering, etc.). A qualifying degree may count as 2 years of experience
  .

• 2+ years of software development experience, including requirements analysis, development, installation, testing, enhancement, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Hands‑on experience with Java, Spring, JUnit
  .

• Proficiency with Git/Git Lab
  .

• Full‑stack development experience (Java + JavaScript).

• Experience with
  JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue.js).

• Working knowledge of JSON
  , MongoDB
  , Elasticsearch/ELK
  , Redis
  , Docker
  , and container orchestration (Docker Swarm or Kubernetes
  ).

• Familiarity with AWS and modern Dev Ops tools (
  Git Lab CI/CD
  , Jenkins
  ).

• Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).

• Cloud/Dev Ops certifications such as:

  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate

  • AWS Dev Ops Engineer – Professional

  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
