Raytheon currently has an opening for a temporary System Administrator to perform onsite in our Annapolis Junction, Maryland office.

The selected team member will be responsible for performing a full range of information technology functions. While the majority of performances will be in classified areas, some unclassified work will also be required.

We’re looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team supporting critical operations in both Linux and Windows environments. In this role, you’ll ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with mission requirements. An active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph clearance is required.
** What You Will Do
*** Provide technical support to end-users who need assistance utilizing client level hardware and software
* Plan, implement, and operate network services and systems, to include hardware and virtual environments
* Setup and maintain systems including installation, configuration, and updating of hardware and software
* Implement and troubleshoot Technical Security Controls per company policy and/or Customer requirements
* This role may require domestic travel up to 25%. Travel is generally well-planned.
** Qualifications You Must Have
*** Active and transferable TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
* Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
* Configuration and troubleshooting in Linux and Windows
* Creating, modifying and deleting user accounts and groups as well as integrating Linux systems into an Active Directory environment
* Planning and performing operating system, software and repo updates and troubleshooting networking issues and editing the routing table
** Qualifications We Prefer
*** Demonstrated experience with time management to meet critical deadlines
* Experience planning and managing projects of various sizes and scopes
* Demonstrated skill in reading, writing, modifying, and executing simple scripts on Windows and Linux systems
* Experience working in and supporting classified areas
* Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting a variety of network and security management tools including, but not limited to;
Centrify, Cisco Call Manager, Puppet, Splunk, Tenable
