Join our team as a Senior Finance Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in analyzing complex financial data and guiding critical financial decisions. Your expertise will help us forecast future revenues and expenditures, making a tangible impact on project and organizational performance.
Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts at both project and organizational levels, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
Maintain rolling forecasts and provide quarterly outlooks for major programs, typically generating over $10 million in revenue or smaller initiatives cumulatively exceeding this threshold.
Establish standard costs and gather operational data to determine the cost structure of large, complex program operations.
Conduct thorough comparisons and analyses of actual program results against established plans and forecasts.
Generate detailed reports for monthly and quarterly financial reviews, offering insights for stakeholders.
Manage monthly subcontractor accruals and assist with accrual reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
Collaborate with project managers and corporate finance to identify and resolve program finance issues while providing valuable guidance on project performance.
Analyze accounting and labor data that underpins forecasting and reporting, ensuring informed decision-making.
Assist program teams with their financial reporting obligations to corporate, enhancing compliance and accuracy.
Provide actionable recommendations by interpreting data, conducting comparative analyses, and assessing proposed changes in methods and materials.
Review program-related accounts payable/receivable invoices for precision and adherence to company standards.
Prepare engaging presentation slide decks showcasing program financial performance for internal and external audiences.
Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Contribute to various special projects as assigned by finance leadership, driving continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5-10 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
In-depth knowledge of accrual accounting and US GAAP.
Familiarity with Costpoint and Cognos systems is advantageous.
3 or more years of experience in government contracting and finance or public accounting is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a quick-thinking mindset.
Strong grasp of financial planning, strategy, and revenue recognition principles.
Effectively work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and collaboratively.
Compensation ranges for positions within ASM Research vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, skill set, education level, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, and years of experience. The compensation for this role ranges from 80,000 to 120,000 and is considered as part of ASM's comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
