Sr. Executive Recruiter at Storm Search | Bridging the Gap Between You & Your Dream JobWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major heavy civil construction projects, including roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure across the MD/DC/VA region. This role oversees all phases of project delivery—from planning and scheduling to field execution, financial management, and client coordination.
MUST BE LOCATED NEAR ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD.
MUST BE US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER.
What You’ll Do:- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies.
- Lead and oversee daily field operations for roadway, bridge, and civil construction activities.
- Supervise and support Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field crews.
- Coordinate with owners, DOT agencies, designers, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment.
- Monitor progress using CPM scheduling methods and proactively adjust plans to meet milestones.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, change orders, and cost tracking.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure compliance and quality.
- Enforce safety standards and environmental requirements across all jobsite activities.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Lead project closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables and requirements are fully met.
- 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically roadway, bridge, transportation, or related DOT projects.
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer role overseeing field operations.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- DOT specifications
- Earthwork, paving, structures, utilities
- Concrete and structural operations
- Cost controls and project documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience overseeing multi-year transportation infrastructure programs.
- Familiarity with design-build projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or other industry certifications.
