Data Center Engineer; Storage

Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Data Center Engineer (Storage) supporting a DoD Customer's Classified Network Services. The mission will include Operations, Compliance, Cyber Security, Customer Service, and Engineering. The right Data Center Engineer (Storage) candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.

• Performs storage engineering design for periodic data center, storage, and remote site server hardware refreshes.
• Recommends hardware solutions compatible with existing Storage technologies.
• Documents data center physical hardware designs including row, rack, bay, interconnections, power, network, storage, serial numbers, lifecycle, and supporting service information.
• Creates and documents requisite storage configuration settings.
• Designs and engineers a long-term storage solution to meet records management requirements.
• Delivers service catalog items for automatically provisioning storage to deliver Infrastructure-as-Code.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI.

Degree and Years of

Experience:

8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

Required

Certifications:

• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE).

Desired

Certifications:

• Professional-level Storage certification.
• ITIL Foundations certification.

Required Skills:

• Experience in Storage engineering and integration for both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting.
