Role DescriptionThe Account Manager will be focused on delivering an exceptional client experience through Zentility’s energy procurement technology platform. At Zentility, we drive client success by sourcing cost‑efficient energy solutions, proactively managing client relationships, collaborating with our pricing desk to negotiate competitive supplier contracts, and analyzing market trends to understand client needs and develop tailored procurement strategies to win new opportunities, keep existing accounts satisfied, and grow client relationships over time.
Key responsibilities include overseeing client onboarding, analyzing consumption data to uncover cost‑saving opportunities, collaborating with our pricing desk to facilitate seamless contract renewals, and identifying ways to optimize daily processes and workflows.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, providing market insights, and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Portfolio Optimization: Analyze energy usage data to identify savings opportunities, optimize renewable energy, and reduce total cost of ownership.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks in the procurement portfolio and implement strategies to ensure a stable, cost‑effective energy supply.
- Market Analysis & Strategy: Monitor energy market trends (e.g., ISO regions) to provide price risk management, hedging strategies, and actionable procurement recommendations.
- Supplier & Contract Management: Lead negotiation for natural gas and power contracts, including RFP processes, contract authoring, and supplier selection.
Skills and Qualifications
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy markets, including power, natural gas, and optionally sustainability or carbon‑free energy.
- Negotiation & Sales: Proven experience in high‑impact negotiations and building strategic partnerships.
- Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze market data, forecast prices, and manage complex supply contracts. - Communication: Ability to communicate technical energy concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (e.g., energy procurement/supply chain).
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, energy trading, or procurement.
- Experience in managing multi‑year service agreements and customer retention.
- Experience with CRM tools and energy management systems.
