About Us:

We are seeking a permanent Mechanical Construction Estimator with a strong background in HVAC and pipe fitting to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our construction projects, where you will be responsible for estimating mechanical projects up to $10 million. This role requires a candidate with a robust understanding of the Baltimore and Washington DC area, and a proven track record in the contracting industry.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing your knowledge and experience in HVAC and pipe fitting to develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate estimates for our mechanical construction projects.
• Applying your knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area to assess project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Leveraging your conceptual estimating experience to develop innovative strategies for project execution and cost-saving.
• Coordinating with the project team to transition from a bid to a proposal, ensuring all project specifications, requirements, and timelines are accurately captured.
• Using Quote Soft estimating software to prepare cost estimates, and analyzing data to determine cost benefits and financial impact.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and potential challenges.
• Reviewing technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering office and field experience in the contracting industry.
• Trade school education in a relevant field.
• A valid Journeyman License.
• Extensive knowledge of the Baltimore and Washington DC area.
• Proven conceptual estimating experience.
• Experience in estimating mechanical projects up to $10 million.
• Proficiency in transitioning from bid to proposal.
• Experience with Quote Soft estimating software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation and pipe fitting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
