Job DescriptionNature of Work:
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator of the Community Case Management Program, provide a full range of administrative and clerical support to professional staff within the Behavioral Health Bureau, ensuring efficient office operations and a positive patient experience. Perform routine clinical support tasks, specifically assisting with and monitoring patient urine specimen collection for screening purposes.
A variety of office support tasks, ranging from general to complex. Serve as the primary office support personnel for a specific organizational unit, coordinating extensive office activities for a designated office or program area.
Requires daily interaction with county and state employees, as well as members of the public, to gather and provide information, respond to complaints, answer questions, and communicate with municipal or private sector agencies to exchange information. This may involve explaining procedures to facilitate processes, provide services or resolve operational issues.
Various administrative processes and methods, including the use of electronic health records systems and computer applications to create correspondence, reports and other documents in multiple formats. The work produced supports the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of office programs, services and functions.
While the supervisor provides general guidance for new or unusual assignments, recurring tasks are expected to be performed independently. Follow established procedures and reference manuals to complete tasks successfully. Meeting deadlines and managing time-sensitive documents are essential aspects of the job. Performance will be reviewed and evaluated by your supervisor to maintain the highest standards of excellence.
Deliver targeted education and outreach, both individually and in group settings, covering the entire spectrum of services within the substance use continuum of care. Maintain accurate records in Welligent, a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, documenting all interactions with participants and ensuring compliance with required training. Assist Case Managers in participant outreach efforts, including scheduling appointments and providing follow-up communication, and is responsible for the timely collection and organization of treatment reports from external providers to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date participant records in Welligent.
Responsibilities may include additional tasks as assigned by a supervisor or management.
Education:
Associate degree in behavioral health or related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
One year performing routine clinical support tasks, specifically assisting with and monitoring patient urine specimen collection for screening purposes. One year performing secretarial work involving typing duties and the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.)
