Job Summary

Performs daily work required to support local and field offices for telephone and voice communications, receiving and troubleshooting end‑user calls, scheduling installations and repairs, and managing vendor relationships.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Receives work request calls from school and office employees and creates corresponding work orders.
  • Schedules in‑house and contracted installations and repair visits.
  • Manages purchasing and procurement for the department, including ordering services, equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Communicates with vendors to report service problems, order new services, and manage accounts.
  • Invoices and collects charges from employees for personal use of phone services.
  • Provides customer‑service follow‑up calls and sends needed parts and accessories.
  • Practices safe work habits involving self and other employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
Minimum Qualifications Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Three (3) years of related administrative experience with proven knowledge and application within the related field.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of telephone billing and accounting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with school system administrators, staff, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with business technology applications (ex. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite).
