Senior Staff Accountant

Chesapeake Search Partners is collaborating with a growing media, polling and digital firm who is seeking a full time Senior Staff Accountant to join the accounting team in Annapolis.

This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across daily accounting operations, reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Conduct electronic deposits and payments
• Prepare monthly budget status reports and financial statements
• Reconcile corporate accounts on a monthly basis
• Prepare invoices as needed
• Handle collections as needed
• Assist in developing the annual corporate budget
• Assist in revenue forecastingi
• Assist with HR reporting
• Act as liaison between the accounting and other departments to ensure internal accounting needs are met

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Net Suite or other ERP/accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
