Overview
Job Title:
Senior Accountant – Public Accounting
Location:
Annapolis, MD (Onsite first 90 days, then hybrid)
Pay: $75,000–$90,000 annually
This role provides monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting support for clients. It requires multitasking across service lines and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. The Senior Accountant works closely with the Client Accounting and Advisory team to prepare financial statements and ensure timely client delivery.
Responsibilities- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform full-cycle accounting, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Oversee month-end and year-end close for multiple clients
- Act as main point of contact for assigned clients
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements
- Mentor junior staff and review their work
- Utilize cloud accounting systems (Quick Books Online, Xero) and workflow tools ()
- Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays (10–2) during tax season; non-tax season Fridays leave at 2:30pm
- Onsite for first 90 days, then hybrid
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (OR the equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of accounting/business experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills

- 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and Company Match - eligible after six months to contribute; firm contributes 50% of deferrals on the first 6% of compensation for qualified participants
- Bonuses – Referral bonuses and performance-based bonuses as described in policy; details may vary
- Continuing Professional Education (CPE) – 40 hours annually; firm pays for approved courses
- Personal Leave – 3 weeks per year in first through fifth year, 4 weeks thereafter
