Job Summary

EARLY MORNING HOURS 5:30am - 2:00pm

This position is a professional nursing role within our Medication Assisted Treatment Program. The Staff Nurse will provide medical monitoring and oversight under the supervision of the Lead Nurse and Medical Director. The role involves dispensing medication, monitoring patient health, maintaining accurate records, and providing patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the pharmacy while maintaining security measures.
  • Conduct daily inventory and report any discrepancies.
  • Dispense medication following clinic procedures.
  • Record all dispensed doses and maintain accurate patient records in electronic medical systems.
  • Monitor patients for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
  • Perform assessments, document changes in patient care, and conduct medical chart reviews.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute medical data for personalized care.
  • Monitor and maintain lab samples per program policies.
  • Assist the Medical Director and Pharmacist as needed.
  • Provide case management for patients with chronic conditions.
  • Maintain methadone accountability records accurately.
  • Report absent patients and communicate patient care updates.
  • Obtain and report drug screening results.
  • Monitor patients' other medications and report discrepancies.
  • Educate patients and staff on medical issues and overdose prevention.
  • Comply with infection control practices.
  • Coordinate care with external prescribers and agencies.
  • Perform EKGs as ordered by physicians and ensure proper documentation.
  • Prepare medication incident reports as necessary.
  • Educate on Naloxone use and overdose prevention.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a valid nursing license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong prioritization and task management abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and medication dispensing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and 42

    CFR regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Qualifications,

    Education and Experience

    Minimum LPN/RN Nursing license required.
