- Maintain accurate inventory control systems, promptly reconcile stock shortages, and verify inventory levels.
- Participate in inventory control procedures, including performing physical counts of stock items.
- Examine stock to ensure compliance with purchase order specifications and quality standards.
- Operate mechanical and hydraulic lift trucks, as well as other motor vehicles, to support inventory operations.
- Stage items for delivery by LSA Movers.
- Assemble, inspect, adjust, and repair items as required.
- Assess the nature and extent of the damage and classify items for reuse or appropriate disposition.
- Advise customers on stock selection based on availability and unit requirements and recommend substitute items as necessary.
- Prepare electronic Disposal Orders (eDOS) for submission to Property Disposition.
- Receive deliveries, verify bills of lading or packing lists from vendors, and promptly report discrepancies to the designated authority.
- Identify stock using codes and item numbers to ensure correct processing and tracking.
- Assist with loading and unloading stock for shipments and deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas and equipment.
- Process internal stock orders with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Inspect items for damage and completeness to uphold quality standards.
- Record all items received, dispensed, or returned, including performing regular item counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Perform the duties of Mover 1 during staffing shortages.
- High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- This position involves handling and transporting materials weighing up to 75 pounds and performing tasks that may require positioning items at various heights and locations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Ability to work with others as well as independently
- Experience using warehouse equipment i.e. forklift, order picker, pallet jack
