Starting at $17.10/hr + $1.00/hr Weekend Premium

Why This Role MattersAs a Youth Support Specialist, you become a steady, supportive figure in the lives of youth living in a residential setting. Your guidance helps create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment—one that feels like home. Every day, you model positive behaviors, teach essential life skills, and help youth navigate daily routines and challenges.
What You’ll Do- Create a warm, family‑like atmosphere built on trust and consistency
- Support youth in daily routines, including meal prep, medication administration, and developing independent living skills
- Lead and participate in engaging activities that build confidence and connection
- Transport youth safely to appointments and community outings
- Occasionally monitor overnight activity and ensure a secure environment
- Work a rotating schedule that includes some weekends and holidays (with an added $1.00/hr weekend premium)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- A willingness to learn and become certified in CPR, First Aid, and de‑escalation techniques
- Experience in direct care, mental health, or working with vulnerable populations is a plus—but compassion and willingness to grow matter most
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable personal transportation with current insurance and registration
- Ability to safely transport youth as needed
- You’ll make a measurable impact every single day

- Establish a family‑like environment in the residence that includes modeling supporting behaviors and expectations
- Assist youth with participating in daily schedule and routine, including but not limited to meal preparation, medication administration, developing independent skills, and preparing and organizing activities
- Provide transportation for youth to appointments according to outlined safety rules
- Monitor overnight activity at the home
Licensure/Certification
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Ability to learn de‑escalation techniques and become CPR and first aid certified
- Direct care experience in a mental health field or working with vulnerable adults preferred
- Valid unrestricted driver's license with good driving record, proof of current registration and automobile insurance required; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served required
