Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in SOCIAL WORK or related human service field? We have a full-time CASE WORKER role, assisting youth who have experienced time in foster care to establish educational goals, determine living arrangements, and assess financial needs, empowering them to make positive decisions regarding their education and future. This dynamic opportunity includes weekly travel as we seek to make a difference in the lives of Michigan's young adults who have already or will soon be aging-out of foster care.

• Provides case management services and coordinates education and training vouchers for young adults aging out of or recently aged out of foster care in accordance with applicable contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Provide Education and Training Voucher Applications to each youth interested, as required.
• Assist youths to establish educational goals, determine living arrangements, and identify financial needs to empower them to make informed and healthier decisions regarding their education and future.
• Monitor and assess each youth's educational, housing, employment, and mental health needs each semester with input from the youth.
• Provide community outreach support by making face-to-face contacts, telephone calls and presentations to assist identified youth.
• Assess, identify, and coordinate use of resources such as CASA workers, direct services workers, educational resources, and state and private organization officials.
• Work collaboratively with referral sources, agencies, educational institutions, and individuals who have important roles in the client’s life situation.
• Collaborate with high school guidance counselors to inform youth in various schools across Michigan about the ETV program and eligibility requirements.
• Update student profile on computer database biannually.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in a child welfare program preferred.
• Unrestricted valid driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting persons served; proof of current automobile insurance.
