Locating Specialist

About the Role

We’re looking for a Locating Specialist who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and doing things right the first time. You’ll be the boots on the ground — the person who helps prevent costly mistakes by identifying what’s below the surface before the cutting or digging begins. • Review job scope, site plans, and client requirements before heading out.
• Use ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic locators to identify utilities, conduits, rebar, and post-tension cables.
• Clearly mark utilities and subsurface features according to industry standards.
• Coordinate with internal scheduling and dispatch to confirm resources, equipment, and permits.
• Communicate daily with clients, project managers, and field leadership.
• Maintain accurate records — data logs, photos, and field notes — for every job.
• Keep your vehicle, PPE, and locating tools clean, calibrated, and ready to go.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training — your growth matters here.

• Experience with utility locating, GPR, or construction site work (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and pride in doing the job right.
• Excellent communication and professionalism with clients and teammates.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• A clean driving record and valid license — this is a field role.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
