Overview
Come join our team at University Senior Living located at 2865 South Main Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48103. We are seeking a Cook (PRN) with a starting wage of $20.00–$22.00 per hour. Shift schedule varies.

Responsibilities- Be a Culinary Craftsman by preparing all menu items according to established standards and recipes, delivering high-quality food that is attractively presented and timely.
- Keep the Mess Out of Mess Hall by following health protocols, maintaining proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and correct food temperatures.
- Be a Culinary Connector by familiarizing yourself with residents and their preferences and needs and participating in resident orientations.
- You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- You can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our residents.
- You possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
- You have demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
- You possess proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professionals, and support staff.
- This role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping; you must be active.
- You must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- You must be comfortable with exposure to extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
- You will be able to work primarily indoors, with some outdoor work for events.
- You must be criminally cleared.
