Job DescriptionWe seek one research technician to assist with restoration planning for native fishes in the Great Lakes. Specifically, this individual will conduct literature reviews and summarize information that will be used during expert elicitation workshops to identify threats to populations of coregonines (ciscoes and whitefishes). The position has funding for four months, but could be extended based on performance and future funding.
Pay is at least $20.71 per hour, but includes no medical benefits. Ideal start date is mid-May and the successful applicant would be expected to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
To be eligible for a student services contract, the applicant must be either a currently enrolled student or have graduated within the past 12 months. Students should be working towards a degree in biology, ecology, or fisheries. Interest in restoration or conservation is desired.
