The

D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion is a 12‑story hospital that will house 264 private rooms capable of converting to intensive care; a state‑of‑the‑art neurosciences center; and high‑level, specialty care services for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, along with advanced imaging. The 690,000‑square‑foot hospital which also features 20 surgical and three interventional radiology suites is being constructed adjacent to the Frankel Cardiovascular Center, with plans for bridge and tunnel connections to existing inpatient care facilities.

Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion at U‑M Health Operating Room Unit will feature 20 operating suites with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and instrumentation supporting the following specialties: neuro‑anesthesiology, neurosurgery (including MR/OR), oral maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, spine, and general thoracic.

D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion-Operating Room Internship

The internship is a six‑month operating room orientation program. This educational program provides a valuable and unique career opportunity for graduate nurses/registered nurses. By teaching a wide range of skills and knowledge, the program prepares the intern for their new role as a perioperative nurse. The internship program is conducted in a classroom, laboratory, and patient care setting.

The internship position is 40 hours per week. There will be Day/Evening shifts included in this position, with call and weekend/holiday obligations.
