RN - ICU

The ICU Nurse collaborates with physicians to devise and implement comprehensive care plans aimed at facilitating the patient's return to optimal health. The nurse provides bedside care, administers medical orders, and oversees the duties of support staff including Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Associates, and more. The role encompasses evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and making necessary adjustments.

• Assume leadership responsibilities by integrating evidence-based practices into nursing care.
• Delegate and coordinate nursing tasks and assignments effectively.
• Facilitate and participate in patient conferences and care planning.
• Communicate with patients regarding ongoing and discharge/transfer needs while attending planning conferences.
• Seek out educational opportunities for professional growth and mentorship.
• Perform as a team leader in patient placement and task delegation.
• Communicate relevant information in an understandable and effective manner.
• Demonstrate organizational skills through effective planning.

• 2+ Years of ICU Experience - REQUIRED
• Comfortable with Floating to ED and Step Down - REQUIRED
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - REQUIRED
• Preferred: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN certifications
• Travel Experience - PREFERRED
• Neuro surgical and Open Heart Experience - PREFERRED
