Job Description & How to Apply Below

Can you turn a print into a production‑ready process?

If your answer is yes, imagine this scenario: a customer provides a complex drawing and CAD file. You open Mastercam or Hypermill, generate clean toolpaths, choose the right cutters, dial in offsets, and produce setup documentation that gets parts out the door—right the first time. Then you step onto the floor to guide setup, mentor an operator, and keep a small fleet of machines humming.

Your

Mission
  • Transform customer drawings/specifications and CAD models into robust CNC programs for lathes and mills.
  • Create supporting 3D models or 2D drawings when required to clarify geometry and manufacturing intent.
  • Build setup sheets, select tools, establish tool offsets, and optimize paths for quality, yield, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead setup on CNC mills and lathes; manage one operator and oversee up to three machines within your cell.
  • Troubleshoot programming and machining issues with urgency and rigor.
  • Submit purchasing requisitions for tooling/BOM items; coordinate with internal teams to resolve process constraints.
  • Uphold safety practices, meet delivery commitments, and drive QMS-based continuous improvement.
What It Takes
  • High school diploma/GED;
Associate’s, technical certificate, or advanced apprenticeship preferred.
  • 1+ year CNC programming experience and 4+ years machining experience (manager-qualified alternatives considered).
  • Mastercam or Hypermill expertise; strong general computer proficiency.
  • Blueprint literacy with GD&T fluency (advanced understanding preferred); AS9100 familiarity.
  • Comfort with machinist gauges (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and hands‑on problem solving.
  • Material breadth: steel, aluminum, stainless, plastics, titanium, copper, ceramics.
  • Background in CNC machining and setups preferred; 3‑axis mill setup/operation required; exposure to 4‑ and 5‑axis preferred.
  • Leadership potential, strong work ethic, self‑motivation, reliable attendance, and adaptability in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs; ability to sit/stand for extended periods; willingness to work overtime as needed with a flexible schedule.
Where You’ll Apply Your Skills
  • Haas VMCs (3–4 axis) and 5+ axis VMCs
  • Haas lathes (2–4 axis) and Mazak 5+ axis lathes
  • CAM platforms:
    Mastercam and Hypermill
