As the Manufacturing Technician, you will be responsible for supporting assembly and in-line testing of Manufacturing operations as well as assembling, testing electronic, optical and mechanical sub-systems in the requested quantity, quality and time limit based on the orientations set by the Production Team Lead and/or Value Stream Manager.
** What you will accomplish together with us
*** Supports manufacturing operations within the Manufacturing Department as defined by Production Team Lead and Value Stream Manager.
* Troubleshoot process & equipment problems promptly to minimize Manufacturing downtime.
* Assemble products to support Manufacturing Assembly teams in order to achieve daily production rates given by the Production Manager.
* Realize and control all his/her/their production operations with the requested quality, while respecting performance constraints and requirements (safety, security and environment)
* Know and follow the safety rules related to equipment and people
* Report with rigor and precision of their production to the shift leader / team leader
* Ensure the cleanliness and permanent storage of the work environment
** What will convince us
*** High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing position, including:  + Assembling complex mechanical or electronic systems  + Troubleshooting and testing systems  + Configuring/installing software for new assembly setups
* Strong ability to interpret technical documentation and perform basic calculations
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Excellent computer literacy and technical aptitude
* Knowledge of materials, products, equipment and associated processes
* Excellent knowledge of quality, safety, security and environment standards & procedures
* Experience in transmitting scope of work to Production Manager
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate instructions to other team members.
* Highly effective interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment - team spirit.
