Mover, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Responsibilities

• Move office, department and apartment furniture, such as desks, cabinets, stoves, refrigerators, and beds.
• Stage classroom furniture and equipment.
• Configure, disassemble, and reassemble office furniture.
• Move large Dewar flasks such as liquid helium, nitrogen, or other gas mixtures.
• Transport stock and equipment.
• Operate motor vehicles such as vans, pick‑ups, and single unit (box) trucks.
• Provide customer service to department standards.
• Clean assigned area of work and equipment.
• Position will perform custodial duties daily for a portion of each day.

• Routinely move items weighing over 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate good communication skills.
• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must have a current Chauffeur's License or have the ability to obtain within 30 days, and successfully complete the Motor Vehicle Record Check in accordance with the University of Michigan policy.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

PLEASE NOTE: This is a year-round, 40 hour per week position.

Department: Student Life Facilities - CCRD Buildings 1/2/3/4/5

Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.08 - $26.35
