Commercial Maintenance Helper
LOCATION:
Ann Arbor
COMPENSATION: $18.00-$26.00
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial Maintenance Helper to join our team. The Maintenance Helper will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our clients' commercial properties by performing basic maintenance tasks such as repairing lights, handling garbage disposal, and assisting with general maintenance duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lighting Maintenance:
Replace light bulbs, ballasts, and fixtures as needed to ensure proper lighting in common areas and work spaces. - Garbage Disposal:
Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with company and local regulations. Keep trash receptacles clean and organized. - Basic Repairs:
Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and patching small holes in walls. - Assist Maintenance Team:
Collaborate with the maintenance team to complete larger projects, including painting, landscaping, and equipment maintenance. - Safety Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly. - Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in commercial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems is desirable.
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects when necessary.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required).
