Information and Technology Services (ITS) is looking for an experienced and motivated People Soft Developer to be a part of our Student Administration team. You will work collaboratively on a variety of assignments supporting our Oracle Campus Solutions application using the People Soft suite of technologies including People Tools Application Designer, Change Assistant, People Code, BI Publisher, Integration Broker, SQR, COBOL and more.

You will work with business system analysts and technical infrastructure teams to create new software solutions, integrate applications using APIs and other technologies, address issues, and perform maintenance. Occasionally working during non-business hours is required.

You will report to the Application Development Manager.

• Work collaboratively and independently on complex application development tasks
• Develop, implement and maintain web and batch applications, reports, queries and application integrations following established standards and methodology
• Work with business systems analysts to design solutions that meet the needs of the customer and University
• Coordinate and install vendor provided software patches and maintenance
• Provide problem analysis and resolution, job scheduling, monitoring, tuning, and end-user support
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the business and administrative processes

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of experience in a related developer role customizing and supporting applications using Oracle/People Soft application development tools, such as People Tools, People Code, SQR, COBOL, Application Engine, Integration Broker, BI Publisher and Change Assistant. Similar ERP experience, or experience with another Student Information System will be considered.
• Experience working with relational database technology to support web applications
• Experience developing web applications using structured techniques
• Applied knowledge of the software development lifecycle and process improvement methodologies
• Proficiency with SQL, query writing, reporting tools and one or more procedural or object-oriented programming languages
• Experience supporting system-to-system integrations using APIs, web services and other integration techniques
