• You will be involved in all development, production, and sustainment activities for the advanced and deployed system hardware, software, and documentation under the cognizance of the Shipboard Systems (SPS).
• You will technically lead and review the system engineering efforts of the contractor in the development of hardware, software, firmware, Non-Developmental Items (NDI)/Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) software/firmware product designs.
• You will analyze design artifacts/problem reports, process metrics, and field data for trends, which indicate design, Reliability and Maintainability (R and M) or Quality Assurance problems.
• You will ensure that problem resolutions, which may involve correction of a design deficiency, re‑coordination of a system interface, or a variety of other actions, are identified, initiated, and completed as warranted.
• You will be responsible for planning and carrying out the work technically managing the project, coordinating with others, assigning tasks as required, and resolving problems.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
