IT Support Specialist
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join a dynamic healthcare environment in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this role, you will provide essential technical assistance to a large hospice facility, ensuring smooth operations for both on‑site and remote staff. This is a contract position with the potential for long‑term employment, offering the opportunity to grow within the organization while making a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities- Provide first‑level troubleshooting for technical issues related to Windows‑based systems, including Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange.
- Offer hands‑on support for mobile devices such as Android smartphones and iPads.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to assist staff in a high‑pressure healthcare environment.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for 20‑30 new team members each month, ensuring their technical setup is complete.
- Conduct network troubleshooting to address connectivity issues and ensure reliable operations.
- Manage hardware inventory, including tracking and deploying necessary equipment.
- Assist field personnel with online troubleshooting and station setup as required.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain system functionality and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT protocols and practices.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows‑based systems, including Active Directory and Office 365.
- Familiarity with mobile device support, particularly Android and iPads.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting and basic hardware setup.
- Experience with inventory management and tracking IT equipment.
- Ability to assist with onboarding processes and technical configurations for new hires.
- Dell Technologies experience is a plus.
