Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Cardiac Perfusionists to support the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System located at 2215 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. The work schedule is expected to be Monday-Friday with on-call hours. Employment acceptance implies acknowledgment that schedules are subject to change at the discretion of Ansible or its clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cardio-Thoracic service with bypass surgeries and valve replacements.
• Perform onsite perfusion services for eligible veterans as authorized by the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System.
• Prepare and operate heart-lung machines, maintaining sterile environments and ensuring patient blood volume to prevent shock or air embolism.
• Assemble supplies and equipment for extracorporeal circulation in emergencies.
• Maintain and operate VA-owned equipment, including heart-lung machines, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and ventricular assist devices.

Qualifications

• Degree in perfusion from an accredited program (US or Canada), with options including a bachelor's or master's degree, with or without a post-baccalaureate certificate, accredited by CAAHEP or RQualTM Canada.
• Full, unrestricted licensure in any US state or territory.
• Graduation from an accredited Perfusion Technology program and certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
• Experience in open-heart surgery, heart-lung machines, ECMO, bypass procedures, intra-aortic balloon pumping, and ventricular assist devices.
• Active certification as a Perfusionist, with current documentation.
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• No sponsorship available.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach overhead.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, 20 lbs regularly, and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
