Shift Availability: 6:30 am–3:00 pm; 2:30 pm–11:00 pm; 10:30 pm–7:00 am

Minimum rate of pay: $16.29 PLUS Daily Pay

Position

Purpose:

The PCT, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care taking into account age‑specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs. They assist in creating a clean, safe, and relationship‑based care environment that supports patient and family wellbeing.

Required Education / Licensure:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year of direct care experience (acute or long‑term) or successful completion of CENA, PCT, MA, or EMT course.
• Student nurses must have completed their nursing fundamentals class of a BSN program.

What You Will Do:

• Receive training to prepare for success.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation (using assistive devices), feeding, and menu selection.
• Collect and send specimens (including blood and blood cultures), insert and remove peripheral IV catheters, and document all required data accurately.
• Provide care on a 34‑bed medical inpatient unit that accommodates observation, stroke, and general medicine patients.
• Monitor up to 16 patients on telemetry.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver respectful, patient‑centered care for a diverse population.
• Engage in learning opportunities that build a foundation for nursing practice and critical thinking.
