Description:

Part time work on a 340 acre campus with a history of leadership in quality outcomes and clinical excellence.

5 East takes care of all adult orthopedic patients including total joint replacements and repair of fractured hip patients. Our experienced nursing staff provide excellent Relationship Based Care and are devoted to the orthopedic population. We are Joint Commission Certified for total knee and total hip replacements. The unit consists of 32 private patient rooms each with a private bathroom and shower.

Our patient population consists mainly of Total Knee and Total Hip Replacements, hip fracture patients, and general Orthopedic patients. We also accommodate general medicine patients.

Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

Education:

Requires high school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Three to six months previous related experience

Preferred:
Customer Service, Retail, Clerical Experience
