Description
The Speech Language Pathologist will work under the direction of the Therapy Program Manager to provide services focused on treating speech, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Role and Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate speech, language, communication, and swallowing deficits.
- Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
- Recommend treatment options based on testing.
- Establish goals for treatment.
- Create accurate documentation.
- Complete treatment sessions as prescribed by the resident's Physician.
- Maintain communication with facility staff.
- Work with dietician to monitor those with modified diets.
- Maintain utilization management as set by the Therapy Program Manager.
- Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Current state Speech and Language Pathology license.
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills.
- Familiarity with a variety of speech and cognitive disorders.
- Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries.

Education- Bachelors or better in Speech-Language Pathology.
- High School or better.
